My name is Chi Chi (my real name is Chelsea, Chi Chi has been a nickname of mine since I was suuuuper little). I wanted to create something where I could track my goals and progress while I'm on my weight gain journey. This is mostly for me, but hopefully I can help other people that are stuck in the situation I am/was in.
So just a bit of backstory: I'm a 23 year-old female, I'm 6'0" inches tall and currently weigh about 150 lbs. It took me YEARS to reach 150 lbs. For a very long time I weighed about 135 lbs., which is underweight according to most BMI calculators. For my age and height, 165-170 lbs. is a normal weight. By the time I graduated from my university in December of 2016, I was barely at 140 lbs. Soon after I graduated, I got a roommate and moved out of my parents' house to be closer to the job I landed before graduation. I moved onto my apartment on February 4, 2017 and I managed to gain 3-5 lbs. over a 4 month period. I realized I was feeling terrible because while I was certainly gaining weight, I wasn't doing it the way I should have been. I was eating junk food and sleeping all the time.
About 2 weeks ago, I decided that I was going to take my gainzzz more seriously. I watched tons and tons of YouTube videos from girls like me that had trouble putting on and keeping on weight. That's how I came across Apetamin. Apetamin is supposed to work as an appetite stimulant and is used a lot of the time in cases of anorexia, which is certainly not what I suffer from, but I figured maybe it'd help me to be able to consume the calories necessary to put on weight.
I ordered 2 bottles of Apetamin Syrup on Ebay and also purchased some Maca Root from Amazon. Maca Root works as a hormone regulator and is supposed to help with things like acne, menstrual cramps, and for a lot of the girls I'm subscribed to on YouTube, it can help the weight you gain to fill out the more desired places (baby girl has no booty or hips whatsoever!)
On Sunday the 18, 2017, which was Father's Day, I started taking the Apetamin, 10ml twice a day. The dosage calls for at least 10ml three times a day, but I figured I'd start slow and see what happens after I heard it can make you incredibly drowsy the first few days. They DID NOT lie by the was. I also started taking the Maca Root 500 mg gelatinized capsules, 2 at a time twice per day. Tomorrow will be a week since I've been on both. Already I've gained 5-7 lbs (wasn't completely sure about my exact weight when I started but I knew it was between 143-145 lbs.) which puts me at 150.
As for the Apetamin, it doesn't really make me hungry per se. Apparently a lot of girls become ravenous after just one dose. It doesn't work like that for me. I just feel like I have less trouble finishing meals. It made me very sleepy and almost unable to function for the first two days. I felt like a zombie just going through the motions. I've also been getting very mild headaches, almost like sinus headaches without the congestion. I believe the main ingredient in the Apetamin is an antihistamine, so I don't doubt that's where the side effects come from.
What I find to be very important while taking these is to make sure I'm actually counting my calories and working out, at least for the areas that I want to stay toned. I think that some girls that don't see results with Apetamin don't realize that they actually have to EAT MORE to gain weight. They just think that drinking the syrup will make them gain weight. In my case, counting calories is important because I don't get that ravenous hunger that some people claim to get. I have to make sure that I am actually consuming more calories. My daily calorie goal is currently 3200 a day.
Here is a photo of me last week at about 145 lbs. and yesterday at 150 lbs. in the same outfit. I will probably take progress pictures every Friday since the weight is coming on so fast.
This has been a super long post, and I may or may not write this extensively in the future, but I just wanted to get some information out there. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading!

6/30/17
It's officially been 2 weeks since I've started my weight gain journey. I don't currently own my own scale so I can't give an update on how much I weigh, but I can see and feel the differences. Thighs are rubbing together (time for some squats!) and my jeans fit much tighter. Here's a photo of me today, one week from the last and two weeks from the beginning --->I slowed down on the Apetamin Syrup on Wednesday this week when I opened my second bottle. I've gone from taking 10ml 2x a day to 15 ml once a day. It didn't really seem to be making me much hungrier at 10ml and I was feeling a bit annoyed about it; I paid a lot of money for 2-3 weeks worth of product for it to not really do much for me at all. I DO notice a bit more hunger now about a half hour of taking the 15ml in the morning. It seems like it's really opening up my appetite early in the day, stretching my stomach and making it easier to eat throughout the rest of the day.
I think I'll stop the Apetamin altogether when I finish my second bottle rather than ordering more. I'm at the point where eating doesn't feel like such a chore anymore. I'm not forcing myself to get all my calories, but instead I'm consistently going OVER my daily calorie goal of 3200 calories. I think I'm at the point that I don't need the help of Apetamin to eat more and gain weight.
I haven't taken the Maca Root consistently. I noticed I was feeling sick a few days into all of this--headaches and queasiness, so I stopped taking the Maca Root, figuring that could be the cause since it's supposed to regulate your hormones and all. I stopped for a couple days and sure enough, I stopped feeling sick. If I pick it back up, I'll probably take it at night and just sleep through the side effects. I also started on the pill last night to clear up my acne and some other things, so I might not bother with the Maca Root at all from here on out.
Think that's it for this time around. I'll update in a week with my weight and a progress picture. Hopefully I make an improvement :)
